a circular hole is cut in a rectangular metal plate and the plate is heated. wil the radius of hole increase or decrease ????? |

Just imagine the plate to be complete even for calculations... and the space occupied by the imaginary part will be the space covered by the hole as well.. because the expansion of neighbouring atoms is independent of each other so even when there is a hole their expansion will be same!! and thrfr the area of hole increases..!!! ans!! |
